Kathryn Ellen Shetler, born March 10, 1900, in Johnson County, Iowa and married Thomas Preston Moore (born 1896) at 6:00 PM, December 25, 1924 in the home of Cora Shetler in Mason, IA by the Rev. W.E.F. Meier of St. Pauls Lutheran Church. They had 6 children – Lola Grace (Moore) Carmer (deceased), Billie Kay (Moore) Bowling (deceased), Treva Irene (Moore) Heiser (wiltreva@comcast.net), James Edward Moore (deceased), Betty Ferne (Moore) Stoneking (Betstoneking@aol.com) and Kathryn Joy (Moore) Bearce.
